    How to Install HEAS on your Computer

    • Click on the "Download" link above. This will start the download.
    • When the download starts, it will ask you if you want to Open or Save the file. Click on the "Save" button.
    • Next, it will ask you where you want to save the file. The most convenient location is your "Desktop", or the "My Documents" folder.
    • After the download completes, you should see a file named "SetupHeas.exe". Double-click on this file to install the HEAS program on your computer.

    Two databases are included in the download. The default, heas.mdb, has several years of actual bills and readings and will enable you to test the system.

    The second is called blank.mdb and has no meter data. Three "fuels", gas, electricity and water, are defined. Add your own bills and readings to produce graphs of your own household energy consumption. Enter the CO2 equivalent to enable you to calculate the greenhouse effect of your household's energy use. Use the Open File option under the File menu option to switch between the databases.

    Comprehensive Help is also part of the download, and this can be accessed either from within the program or from Windows' "Programs" menu.

    System Requirements: HEAS will run on any version of Windows® (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP).
